Meta has started accepting requests to join an early access program for new Muse features, the company said on Friday. Instead of a traditional sign-up form, the company is asking users to make the request through the Muse AI app itself. Meta shared a link on X to a prompt that, when given to Muse, records that the user wants to take part in the program.
The prompt asks Muse to tell the Muse team that the user wants to be part of the Muse early access program. A link posted by Meta drops the prompt directly into Muse for users who click it. Meta also provided the text so users can copy and paste it instead.
The move follows Meta's announcement of a host of new features for the Muse AI app at its Connect 2026 developer conference this week. Among the teased additions is a digital avatar for Muse that users will be able to video chat with. Meta also pointed to more shopping partnerships and connectors, plus an expansion of the Muse Mac app.
That expanded Mac app will soon be able to use a user's computer to complete various tasks, according to the company. Meta further said Muse would be coming to its lineup of AI glasses. On those devices, users will be able to interact with the agent by speaking a wake word and then issuing a command.
The early access approach differs from how companies typically run pilot tests or betas with select users. Those efforts are often A/B tested with a randomized group to gather feedback and measure results. Meta, by contrast, is looking for AI enthusiasts to try its features first.
That tactic could help Meta stay ahead of the competition, given that this crowd tends to use multiple AI apps and agents and has a good understanding of the market. The program is aimed at users in the United States and elsewhere who follow the company's AI products closely. Meta has not said how many people it will admit or when the early access features will reach them.
