Google has launched Gemini in Chrome for Android users, bringing the AI assistant’s features to mobile devices following their earlier debut on the desktop version of the browser. The company first previewed the integration at its I/O conference in May, and the mobile rollout was announced Tuesday. The features are now live for Android users, expanding beyond the desktop availability that arrived earlier this year.

Google also introduced auto browse for Chrome on Android, an agentic AI feature that allows users to delegate tasks to the system. This includes actions like booking event tickets or updating online orders. Auto browse will request explicit permission before handling sensitive operations, such as processing payments. The feature is currently available to all US-based Android users who subscribe to the AI Pro or AI Ultra plans, though Google did not say when it might expand to other countries.

Agentic AI is becoming more common on smartphones, and Google’s Pixel 11 devices are cited as examples of the technology through the company’s Gemini Intelligence system.
