Google is currently selling its Pixel 10A smartphone at a 15 percent discount, bringing the price down to $424 from its original $499. The deal is available at Amazon, Best Buy, and the Google Store, and has been active since early August, according to The Verge. The discount applies to a device that otherwise carries a mid-range price tag in a market where Google’s newly launched flagship phones cost considerably more.

The offer comes in the same week that Google released its entire Pixel 11 lineup, including the $899 Pixel 11, the $1,099 Pixel 11 Pro, and the $1,899 Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The Pixel 11 Pro shares the same processor and starting 12GB of RAM as the standard model but features better cameras. The Verge notes that shoppers who are willing to skip the exclusive camera and AI features found on the new flagships can save hundreds of dollars by choosing the 10A instead.

The Pixel 10A includes several upgrades over its predecessor, the Pixel 9A, such as faster wired charging, Satellite SOS, and new AI tools called Camera Coach and Auto Best Take. However, The Verge’s coverage points out that the 10A is otherwise largely similar to the 9A, using the same Tensor G4 chip and a dual-camera system. Those components first appeared in the Pixel 9 series, making the 10A’s hardware slightly older by direct comparison to newer models.

The phone retains features that typically cost much more on other devices, including an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, a 90Hz refresh rate screen, wireless charging, and a design that The Verge describes as strong. The publication compares the 10A to Apple’s iPhone 17E, noting that both offer many of the same hardware and software features as their pricier counterparts at a lower cost. The biggest differences between the 10A and Google’s more expensive phones are the camera specs and the older Tensor G4 processor.

The Verge’s criticism of the 10A centers on how little Google changed compared to the 9A, but it still concludes the device is a good option for consumers who have not upgraded their phone in a while. The current discount brings the 10A’s price closer to the budget range, making it a more attractive choice for US shoppers looking for a Google-made phone without paying flagship prices. The deal is available at major US retailers, including the Google Store itself, which gives buyers direct access to the manufacturer’s warranty and support.
