Microsoft has opened pre-orders for a new line of limited edition gaming accessories under its Designed for Xbox 25th Anniversary collection. The devices are available today for US consumers and are part of a celebration tied to the original Xbox’s Halo special edition console. Most of the items are made with a translucent green finish that matches that classic hardware design, which was also referenced in the Xbox Series X25 limited edition console announced in June.
The collection includes several Razer peripherals, such as the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K mouse, the Razer BlackWidow V4 75% gaming keyboard, and the Razer Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed earbuds. All three come in the same OG Green translucent style. Microsoft also partnered with other manufacturers for the lineup, including a translucent green 8BitDo Ultimate charging dock that works with Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One controllers.
Another item in the lineup is a translucent green GameSir X5 Lite for Xbox, which is a mobile controller. The majority of the collection sticks to that single color scheme, but there are a couple of exceptions. A black PowerA sling bag is included, and it does not feature the green finish at all.
The other exception is a special edition of the Backbone Pro mobile controller. Unlike the rest of the collection, this controller is not green. Instead, it comes in three possible finishes: clear, translucent blue, or translucent orange. The catch is that the controller is sold as a blind box, so buyers will not know which color they receive until they open the package.
This launch builds on a prior Backbone Pro release from last year, which was also translucent green. The new anniversary edition shifts that approach by offering multiple color options, though the blind box format adds an element of chance for customers. The collection overall is a mix of desktop, console, and mobile accessories, giving Xbox players different ways to match their setup with the retro-inspired colorway.
The pre-order availability marks the latest step in Microsoft’s extended 25th anniversary push, which began with the console announcement earlier this year. For US shoppers interested in the collection, the green theme is dominant, but the Backbone Pro and PowerA bag provide alternative designs. The limited nature of the accessories suggests they may not remain in stock for long, though no specific quantities or release dates beyond today’s pre-order window were shared in the announcement.
