K-pop artist Sunmi said she relies on Samsung’s Galaxy phones and the productivity app Notion in her daily work, and that she watches ear cleaning videos, according to an interview with The Verge published October 10, 2026.

Sunmi, who debuted with the Wonder Girls in 2007, told the publication that her phone is the device she cannot live without. She said she uses the Notes app and Voice Memos frequently when writing lyrics or making music so she can record ideas immediately. She also named the Samsung Galaxy series as the technology that has made her work environment easier, adding the phrase Team Galaxy.

The singer said she uses Notion often because she works on many group projects, calling it convenient but slow to learn, and said its user interface could be improved. She also said she does not use social media heavily but uses Instagram and X the most.

A Samsung Z Fold 8 is her favorite device, she said, because she often edits documents and videos while traveling and can work with both hands on its wide screen. She described herself as not especially good with technology but said the foldable is light and is the kind of device she has always needed.

Asked about a feature she wishes existed, Sunmi pointed to her gallery and said it holds many unnecessary photos and screenshots. She said she would like a tool that recognizes similar or duplicate images and groups them so she could delete them at once. If transferring apps and data between devices were not so easy, she said, she would install the messaging app KakaoTalk first.

Sunmi has been a solo artist since her 2014 debut EP Full Moon and rejoined the Wonder Girls in 2015. She released her first solo LP, Heart Maid, in 2025, and this year released the single Forever July, which she has described as one of her most personal songs.
