The remembered items function will be available on devices running Android 16 or later, and only in countries where both Gemini and the Find Hub service are supported. The rollout is part of a broader set of updates Google is bringing to Android devices this month. In addition to the Find Hub expansion, the company detailed a new feature called Motion Assist, which is designed to reduce motion sickness by placing dots on the screen that shift in response to the movement of a vehicle. That feature is comparable to a similar tool already offered by Apple on its devices.
Another update flagged in the announcement is Guided Vision, which works within Gemini Live to use the phone鈥檚 camera for reading fine print on labels or menus. The feature can also help locate a specific ingredient by scanning a cupboard, and it provides voice feedback if the camera is not aligned properly with the target text or object. Guided Vision is slated for devices running at least Android 9.
Separately, Google is introducing chat themes for its Messages app, which allow users to pick a background image that the message bubbles will automatically match. Additionally, as of the announcement, everyone in a Google Messages chat can create and edit notes through Google Keep. This is meant to support collaborative tasks such as assembling a shared grocery list or coordinating travel plans.
For U.S. users, the updates target Android owners who rely on Google鈥檚 ecosystem for everyday tasks.
