Automation Anywhere Inc. said Wednesday it has agreed to acquire Boost.ai Inc., a conversational voice artificial intelligence company, from Nordic Capital. The enterprise agentic automation and orchestration firm is pursuing what it calls the autonomous enterprise, an operating model in which businesses run up to 80% autonomously or with AI assistance. Boost.ai's technology extends that effort into customer experience, letting AI field requests from customers or employees and guide them through middle- and back-office work.
Automation Anywhere Chief Executive Mihir Shukla framed the deal as a way to unify three categories of enterprise work: serving customers, supporting employees and running the business. Most organizations run those functions in isolation, he said, and the combined companies aim to give every enterprise an autonomous operation that listens, decides and acts across all three.
Boost.ai serves hundreds of customer organizations, with a strong base in regulated industries and Europe, particularly financial services, telecommunications and insurance. That footprint will expand Automation Anywhere's thousands of global customers, which operate in similarly complex industries. Boost.ai's platform supports more than 36 languages and addresses message security and privacy, with compliance for Europe's General Data Protection Regulation and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
Boost.ai CEO Jerry Haywood said the company's work in regulated industries has shown that conversational and voice AI can run at enterprise scale with the reliability, compliance and governance those sectors demand. Boost.ai maintains more than 650 deployments and roughly 600 live AI agents, and has supported more than 150 million automated conversations. Its customers include Nordea Bank Adp, Credit Union of Colorado, DNB Bank ASA and Trading 212.
The deal follows Automation Anywhere's acquisition of Aisera Inc. in late 2025, which integrated that company's agentic AI platform into its agentic process automation ecosystem. Automation Anywhere said combining the two platforms will give it the most complete market offering for autonomous work across office work. That spans voice, chat and digital channel customer operations with AI agents; employee operations resolving requests across information technology, finance and human resources; and business operations for processes such as enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management.
Automation Anywhere co-founder and Chief Operating Officer Ankur Kothari said the real transformation from AI will come when enterprises stop measuring agents and start redesigning how work gets done around outcomes. Voice AI remains a maturing market, with contact centers handling most of what voice agents do for customer service on existing telephony infrastructure. Astute Analytica's AI Voice Agent Market report estimated a $3 billion market in 2025, growing to $45.1 billion by 2035, with customer support experience automation holding the largest share in late 2025.
